Within the Shadows. Life is a Story - story.one

While patrolling a popular national park, ranger Max Gardner learns of a hiker who went missing under mysterious circumstances, some of which hit close to home. He sets out to rescue the hiker and attracts the attention of multiple dark spirits lurking in the woods, one of which wants him dead due to his interference in its plans. When a more experienced supernatural hunter warns him he must flee or risk a fate worse than death, Max must decide whether to escape or stand his ground, and both options have dire consequences.
