Viking Worlds is a collection of historicaI occurrences and important events of the Nordic world which are brought to life again through the imagination of the author. It tells the stories of a feud between two clans in Denmark, of a cheeky skald at the court of the Norwegian king, of the beautiful Swede Sigrid and the unfortunate Harald Gudrödsson, and also of the funeral of a varangian king. The story of the Vinland voyages of Thorfinn Karlsefnis and Freydis Ericsdottir, as well of the giant Loki, who lived in Asgard among the gods.
Rainer W. Grimm was born in 1964 in Gelsenkirchen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, as the second son in a miner's family. He still lives with his family and two cats in the Ruhr region. It was not until the age of thirty-five, due to a back injury, that the trained craftsman discovered his love of writing. Since then, he has been publishing historical stories and novels, most of which are about the Vikings, and crime-storys as an independent author. Previously only in german, he is now also publishing his books in english language.
