Rene Burkhard, born in 1958, lives in the Zurich lowlands and writes imaginative and heartfelt stories for children and adults. After many years as a dedicated economics teacher, he now focuses entirely on his passion for storytelling.

His picture books, including Finna the Little Christmas Fairy, The Home of the Teddy Bears, Cuddly Bear Benny Goes to the Dentist, Teddy Balu At the Doctor and With Friends in an Emergency, Nuss the Squirrel and His Adventures in the Forest, and Nussi Needs His Friends, combine warm storytelling with gentle educational value. His childrens book Max and the Chaotic Adventures also delights readers with humor and depth.

He has written the Christmas fairy tale The Castle of Lost Christmases, which leads young readers into a magical winter world filled with wonder.
