Artificial intelligence is increasingly transforming the structures through which people interpret reality and make decisions. With the concept of the Gentle Totality, Stephan U. Breu develops a new theoretical approach to understanding this transformation. Across five philosophical studies, the monograph explores its implications for freedom, creativity, and human self-understanding. Bringing philosophical anthropology into dialogue with contemporary research on artificial intelligence, it develops an original framework for understanding the evolving relationship between human beings and AI.
