Charlotte Engemann was born on the 13th of June, 2037, 16 years before the outbreak of the Weeping.
Her diary was found on the 19th of October, 2113, on an abandoned farm near Winterkasten, a small town in Hesse, Germany. Researchers have restored and translated the worn paper to the best of their abilities, providing a small glimpse of life before and during the Weeping.
It is unknown how long Charlotte survived after the outbreak, as no other diaries or pieces of writing have been found, nor were there any signs of a body.

Born in Frankfurt Germany, in 2005, McKay moved to Arizona, U.S.A., when she was three and lived there for twelve years before returning to her birth Country. From a young age, she found an early love for reading and delving into new worlds, igniting a passion for creating stories, which she either played out with her hoard of toys or brought to life in crudely drawn picture books.
At age nine, McKay started writing her first fantasy book. Although she didn't get far, has continued to write since then in both English and German.
Now, at nineteen, McKay works as a Taekwondo trainer and is looking forward to studying Creative Writing.
