The Day a Chinese ate a bat!

In its fictional plot, this novel summarizes for the first time worldwide all possible - and also impossible - theories about the origin of the Coronavirus.

that only global cooperation can be the answer to pandemics, instead of mutual recriminations.

Did the virus really escape from a Chinese laboratory, or was it introduced by US soldiers in Wuhan? Why is the existence of a virus laboratory with SARS viruses just 300 meters away from the wildlife market in Wuhan being played down?

All these questions arise in a single day in Wuhan for the cab driver Feng. He drives in his car the people that might be responsible for the emergence of the Coronavirus in this highly infectious form - from US billionaire Phil Bates to a duo of Russian agents, frightened virologists and a North Korean refugee to sniffy US soldiers or clerks of telephone companies of the high-frequency 5G network.

Feng involuntarily overhears all the conversations and learns things about his passengers that they don't know about each other - although almost all of them have to do with each other. A security leak in the virus laboratory, coughing Russians on their way to a handover, hectic pig farmers looking for a vaccine - it's no wonder that Feng is becoming increasingly nervous and not just sharing secrets with his friend Dong at the animal market in Wuhan.
A mysterious metal tube also becomes a central part of the enlightening day in Wuhan, whose misunderstandings repeatedly lead to unexpected twists and turns and more than surprises everyone involved with its finale.
