This guidebook has been written for travellers and pilgrims intending to visit some of the 88 temples of the Shikoku pilgrimage or even walk, cycle or travel the entire pilgrimage. It covers the last part of the pilgrimage: The 190 km pilgrimage in Kagawa Prefecture from Temple 66 to Temple 88 and the return to T1 to close the loop. In addition, it includes information on Koya-san, the temple city south of Osaka which is usually visited after completing the pilgrimage.

In addition to the history of the temples, it describes in detail the routes between the temples and provides additional information on how to organise the pilgrimage and adds cultural and historic background.
