Armed with nothing but their wits, their quills, and a wildly inaccurate understanding of Arthur Schopenhauer, two anxious hedgehogs embark on a peculiar quest in search of a very specific answer. Along the way, they encounter a judgemental owl, a melancholy tortoise named Marta, a suspiciously affectionate rabbit, and a mole with a pair of scissors and a past.

It is a journey through woods and wounds, laughter and loss, as Clove and Pip come to realise that the hardest part of love is not the pain it is what you are willing to risk in order to keep feeling it.

A story for children, if those children had already been heartbroken twice and read Schopenhauer by torchlight.

It is strange.
It is tender.

And it is full of the kind of humour that hurts. Just a bit.
