It's been several years since his divorce, but retired artisan Abdel struggles to adapt to life in a big, empty house. Clinging to routines and late-night talks with the affable bouncer at his favourite Irish pub, he is caught between confronting a painful past and an uncertain future. When he impulsively decides to help the teenage runaway Loïc, he is thrust into the centre of a social drama that quickly takes over his life.
