Simo is currently pursuing a major in Sociology with a minor in Political Science. As a Black, queer migrant navigating the vast, predominantly white Western world, they express their journey through the art of poetryone of the most profound and beautiful forms of creative expression.

Drawing on the wisdom of their ancestors, Simo has crafted a collection of poems that transcend their individual experience, speaking to universal themes of identity, belonging, and resistance. This book is a testament to their lived reality, shaped not only by their personal journey but also by the influence of friends, lovers, and fellow writers, both past and present.
