Mehr erfahrenSince 2003 every second year scientist, producers and growers and enthusiasts met at ISA – International Seabuckthorn Association conferences (the society was founded 2001 on Seabuckthorn Workshop in Delhi) to exchange information, establish new contacts and discuss the future of Seabuckthorn-world. Starting with a small heap of enthusiasts, the scientific community now includes several hundred active and certainly far more than a thousand of interested members.
In October 2013 6th meeting of ISA was held in Potsdam, Germany. This booklet is to show a selection from the presented results, some outstanding poster and additional material given by various scientists to the authors.
It is to encourage Seabuckthorn friends to intensive and faster to deal with the stated aim of this publication, with research on Seabuckthorn and technological-technical developments. Anyone who reads this book is welcome to send his posts and comments on it to the authors.
Jörg-Thomas Mörsel (Hrsg.)
PD Dr. Jörg-Thomas Mörsel, is engaged as a food chemist since 1983 with sea buckthorn. Work on the quality and chemical characteristics of sea buckthorn, and on modern processing technologies are focus of his work. He is co-founder of the International Seabuckthorn Association - ISA - and their vice president. In 2003 he and his Team organized the first Congress of the ISA, in Berlin. 2013 the 6th Meeting in Potsdam.
His scientific activities are in fields of Food chemistry and Technology as well. Focus of work was set constantly to bio-active minor components in Food, vitamins an lipids.
Yury Zubarev (Hrsg.)
Dr. Yury A. Zubarev, is a well-known Russian scientist, deputy director of 'The Lisaveno Institute' of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Barnaul.
His scientific work focuses on breeding of Seabuckthorn varieties and the development of cultivation technologies. Numerous publications document his scientific reputation.
David Eagle (Hrsg.)
David Eagle is one of the pioneers of the Sea Buckthorn business in the UK. His work is focused on the promotion of sea buckthorn cultivation and use. A constant focus is to look at markets, customer expectations and the opportunities for producers. His work made him a respected experts in the SBT business.
