I have loved stories since I was a child. That did not change as I grew up and started to write my own. I especially love Fantasy books, because they can transport meaningful messages in a more lighthearted way.
My interest also benefits me in my job. As a therapist I'm intrigued by the stories we tell ourselves, the stories we tell others, and the gap that can exist inbetween.
Having words to express something can make an impactful difference. As such I wanted to write a story about mental health, and how relationships can support us in our healing, but can't lift the weight of the work from our shoulders.
