Somewhat of a loner, she never had meaningful or deep friendships, until Nora, a girl from her school, choses to befriend her. Being friends with Nora, Umiko slowly opens up and leaves overcomes the walls she built up inside. After spending a summer together, it becomes clear, how much both care for each other and feel a deep sense of belonging when seeing one another.
But every friendship comes to an end, some more tragic than others.
Hello! My name is Timmy and I was born 2006 in Germany. Growing up in separate households, defined by different cultures and languages, I learned to best express my emotions and feelings through the English language, which is why most of my work is English. Throughout my childhood and teenage years I struggled with severe mental health issues, yet overcame them in the past two years with the help of professionals. Learning to live again, I also learned to appreciate all the small things in life and, especially, friendships. Despite Oranges being my first publication, I tried to convey the importance of friendship and the effect it can have on a person and how love does not have to be romantic to be real, the best I could. The characters are inspired by the stories of my friends and my own perception of the world. I hope you enjoy reading it, as much as I did writing it!
