Novocaine for Elderly Mind. Life is a Story - story.one

"Novocaine for Elderly Mind" is a short story by Din Asotic that describes the internal spiritual journey of Mr. Melvin Sajc, who after a near-death experience finds himself in a spiritual space that strongly resembles hell. There, he encounters family members and old friends, trying to uncover what exactly is happening.

Throughout the journey, he is accompanied by a mysterious humanoid being that torments him but also shows him the way through the spiritual turmoil. The story aims to depict the conflicts of an ordinary man with those around him, as well as with himself, and to explore the concept of life after death and how our perception of it is largely conditioned by our physical life on Earth.
