Her route takes her from Frankfurt to Würzburg, Munich, Berlin, Hamburg, Bremen, Göttingen and Kassel, with encounters that are at once ordinary, absurd and quietly revealing.

Mrs. Lee observes Germany with curiosity, composure and dry humour: hotel rooms, railway delays, tourist rituals, regional customs, public signs, famous monuments, local food and the peculiar seriousness with which everyday situations sometimes unfold. What begins as a travel diary gradually becomes a portrait of cultural misunderstanding, politeness, irritation and wonder.

Presented in English and Korean, this fictional travel diary is also a playful reflection on memory, translation and the strange afterlife of forgotten emails.
