The author, Stefan Michaelis, was born in a major German city in the early 1990s. His love of writing grew from a longing for a deeper connection with the people around him. He is passionate about classic literature and philosophy and also enjoys photography. He is fascinated by Japanese culture, especially its language and popular culture, including anime. His musical tastes generally lie in metal, particularly metalcore and melodic death metal. He once enjoyed programming and administering computer systems, but much of their appeal has faded for him in favor of art and literature.
