Since early childhood I have tried expressing my creativity in many ways and forms, be it visual arts, acting or music. Writing a fictional story has always been something I really wanted to try out as well. So I just decided to give it a try taking a very old plot idea of mine, and combining everything I myself like in fiction in one story: soul mates trope, subtle fantasy setting with parallel worlds, bittersweet tone of the story, metaphors, love for arts and music and an open ending.
With neither German nor English being my native languages, for my first attempt in fiction I decided to stick to English.
Working on this story was an absolute joy and sort of creative catharsis for me from start till finish. If it resonates with someone else, I will be on cloud nine.
