The green woodpecker girl Elisa is much more adventurous than her brothers. She dreams of flying to Africa with the storks. Her best friend, the little mouse, encourages her in her endeavour. And sure enough, Elisa gets accepted by the flock of storks, and a wonderful adventure begins.
8-year-old Lisa Thyssen planned and carried out this picture book together with her mother, Michèle Combaz Thyssen. Lisa Thyssen was in charge of painting the various animals of Africa.
The historian Michèle Combaz Thyssen was born on 28 September 1972 in Zurich. As a child, she experienced marvelous adventures in her mind. She likes historical novels. Later, she began with her own projects, such as the Scarabäus trilogy. The author works as a journalist and lives with her family in Horgen at the Lake of Zurich.
