Hyacinth spends most days in her head, daydreaming. While confined within her own personal walls, she is able to drift off to better places. And with reality being the only other option, why would she ever want to leave her makeshift world behind?
But when what she thought was harmless starts to consume her mind, a voice tries to reach out and save her before she is too far gone. Will Hyacinth finally be able to put her thoughts to rest, or will she choose to remain trapped within a prison?
My name is Taja. I am 18 years old and I live in Bavaria, Germany. When my family and I moved here some years ago, I initially struggled to fit in. The language, my looks, and the lack of knowledge about this country set me apart from everyone else. I often turned to daydreaming as an escape from the reality that I grew to hate. I started writing songs to capture my feelings and turned some of them into poems. Hyacinth is the version of me that drifted too far into her daydreams, unable to return, and I thought it would be interesting to share her story and those of others (in the future)
