You must be the best judge of your own happiness.

Mr. Knightley is said to have been Jane Austen's favourite novel hero. And I must confess, he is mine too. Nothing against Mr. Darcy, but hey, Mr. Knightley, the quintessential gentleman and so wonderfully handsome, captured my heart with the first line he appeared in.

Since I appreciate this book very much and not everyone can afford it in the original version, I decided to publish this beautiful book for everyone.

The iconic illustrations in this book were designed by Hugh Thomson, one of the most popular Victorian illustrators, who worked on editions of all Austen's novels. This book contains the original scanned pages from the book of 1896 with an introduction by Austin Dobson.
