"Dristikona" is an anthology of narratives woven through the lens of an Indian Globetrotter, spanning across memories scattered across the globe. These tales are deeply personal, intricately interwoven with the artistry of people I've encountered, engaged with, or been regaled about.
As I traversed each fleeting moment, others embarked on their own unique journeys of perception, encapsulating the world through their distinct viewpoints. With this collection, I aspired to craft a captivating mosaic that celebrates the rich diversity of perspectives, encapsulating a multitude of experiences and lessons. Some of these stories are ingeniously reframed to offer glimpses from another's vantage point, transforming into intriguing tales of suffering, empathy and understanding.
Poorni Badrinath's lifelong love of stories and spaces led her to cartography and, eventually, to storytelling. Now based in Berlin, she works as a cartographer by day and spins tales by night, weaving narratives that explore human emotions, choices, and consequences. When she isn't mapping or writing, she's usually tucked in a café corner with a coffee, sketching out new ideas or dreaming of her next big project: a map café for fellow storytellers and explorers.
