After sweating over the contents of her suitcase, a daughter comes home to find that was the least of her concerns. Her mother and sister are hiding something about their new home. Something either laughable or concerning, depending on which side of the coin you fall on.
Set against a backdrop of family reunions, routine doctor visits, and Ramadan, the ordinary takes on an unfamiliar hue as strange events converge. And a certain demanding cat spells trouble.
What does it take to convince a skeptic there's more to the world than meets the eye?
Omnya El Said was born in Cairo. She moved to Germany in 2011 to pursue higher education, but a wrist injury ended that dream. She proudly boasts an incomplete PhD in Biology.
A love of literature and troubleshooting was the perfect segue into editing. After 7 years of hammering the written word into place, she's now ready to speak her piece.
She currently lives in Berlin, and splits her time between Germany and Egypt. She's sister to two spoiled cats who haven't forgotten what it's like to be worshipped. Cat Food Mule is her first published story.
