This book contains 21 English poems and 3 German poems, written during my teenage years.
After finding my love for poems, I left the idea of ordinary diaries behind and wrote poems about my feelings instead. No matter if I was in the middle of class or if my vision was blurred due to tears, nothing stopped me from writing about my emotions while I was feeling them, writing them in a way that only I could understand their origin.
Watch my writing style change over time as my teenage self tried different styles and did her best to improve her writing.
Anisa Elmazi was born in... on the.... well, it doesn't really matter, does it? What's more important is what made her write this book in the first place. What gave her the idea?
Well, whenever she walked towards her own comfort space, walking down the dark corridor towards the well-lit bedroom, she felt something. That rush of dopamine, the rush of happiness, but also a rush of anxiety. Her steps quickened whenever she got closer to the door. That door, it felt like a portal. A quick pass to paradise. She often went there with the plan of writing in mind. At some point, those two things collided together. It made her wonder: how do others feel on their way to their paradise? How did THEIR paradise look like?
