Why am I writing in English even though I was born and raised in Germany? My therapist asked me the exact same question. Maybe it's a coping mechanism which lets me express my feelings while still keeping emotional distance, hence allowing me to pretend those English stories are not really mine. Maybe it's because English sounds way cooler than German. I guess we'll never know. Anyway, let's continue with this biography. My name is Jo, I was born in 2003, and I love books (obviously). Something that isn't as obvious is that I am mentally ill and autistic, which led me to start writing poetry. After all, what's the use of being crazy if it doesn't make you creative?
